OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO AGRICULTURE

This category rewards the many people out there who go above and beyond the call of duty to help the cause of Scottish Agriculture. The nominees could, for example, be industry body representatives, show or event organisers, or even politicians.

LIVESTOCK SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

This award will recognise the supplier who goes that extra mile for ensuring that the livestock farmer's many needs are met. Nomination is open to all those who provide any kind of service to the livestock farmer from animal health suppliers to zoology - and everything in between.

LOCAL SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

An all-embracing category introduced to highlight the unique dedication and service provided to farmers in their locale. We all have those local suppliers who go out of their way to keep farming ticking over, whether it be a one-man band outfit, or the local branch of a multi-national conglomorate. All local supply business like blacksmiths, vets, machinery repairers etc are eligible; it could even be an organisation rather than an individual.

UNSUNG HERO OF THE YEAR

Do you know someone who works for one of your suppliers or agencies who, without doubt, provides a great service, always gets the job done and is never recognised publcly for it? Provide us with your nominations for the unsung hero award to recognise some of the great individuals who work and serve our industry and make things go just that little bit smoother every day.

PROPERTY/FARM ADVISER OF THE YEAR

This category covers the crucial areas of service and advice that you receive from banking, estate agency, lawyers, accountants, insurance and industry specialist such as NFUS, QMS, SAC etc. This is your chance to put forward the company or individual who serves our industry with levels of advice and customer service to a consistently high level of professionalism.

ON-LINE SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

This category reflects the ongoing development of the internet as a medium for buying and selling farm goods and services. As well as recognising those individuals or companies who provide a top service, the judges will also take into consideration website design, its user friendliness and the simplicity and security of any ordering process.

RENEWABLE ENERGY SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

Renewable energy projects have been burgeoning on Scottish farms as many landowners see it as a consistent, long-term source of additional income. There are now many suppliers of a myriad of on-farm renewable energy systems. This category will identify those who provide the best service.

COUNTRY LIFESTYLE SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

This category recognises another developing sector within agriculture which is becoming more and more sophisticated. Entries are expected from those involved in the emerging rural industries of food and drink, arts and crafts, country sports, homes and gardens, fashion, travel etc.

EQUESTRIAN SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR

The judging panel in this catergory will look for entries across the whole gamut of equestrian service, from the most humble to the most professional.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

The panel will decide from these nine winners who best deserves the champion of champions award for overall best service provision to our industry.
